Hi! I'm Emily, wife and mother of 6 who has spent way too much of her adult life trying to figure out the "secret code" of a sustainable and effective diet and exercise program that wasn't obsessive or grueling, restrictive or gross, and mostly, that didn't occupy so much of my time and mind-space. After years of exercising too much, eating too little and finding myself with yet another baby on my hip, I found new research that led me to flip the script on the conventional nutrition and exercise advice that I had been fed for so many years and discovered a lifestyle that was not only extremely healthy but strongly supported by our human ancestral biology. By healing my metabolism and finally supporting my body rather than confusing it, I no longer struggle to know what and how to eat or how to move, and have found an enjoyable, sustainable, lifestyle that I love, and that (bonus!) enabled me to "bounce back" from a pregnancy when I was 44 easier than when I was 25. My life-long interest in health has inspired me to create a business helping other to fix their confused metabolisms and discover a better way to live when youth is no longer on our side. (sigh)
I have a passion for helping women break free from restrictive, yo-yo dieting attempts that aren't sustainable or enjoyable, as well as empowering moms to change the trajectory of their children's health by stepping away from the "kids' menu" mindset that children can or will only consume the same 5 highly processed junk foods every day of their lives. Implementing real food into their diets that tastes good and supports their brains, bodies and BEHAVIOR (yes, food affects their behavior) is such an important part of our roles as moms. Staying healthy and demonstrating metabolically supportive lifestyle habits is SO important and I can help you get there!
